Case Type Specific Tabs
MerusCase offers a guided experience per law type. This means that several case types in MerusCase will have curated fields applicable to that specific law type. These curated fields will be displayed in a case-specific tab such as those explained below, helping you streamline your workflow.

Criminal
Features for the Criminal case type include the unique Charges tab in which you can enter detailed info about the arrest specifics, charges against the defendant, and other convictions. Additionally, a conviction in one case will automatically be listed as a prior conviction in any following cases with that same defendant.

Employment
Employment cases have a unique Employment tab which contains specifics on employment status, wage information, wage claims, retaliation/discrimination, and more. Virtually all of the info contained therein can automatically be merged onto both forms and templates, meaning you only have to manually enter it once into MerusCase then simply let us take it from there.

Family Law
MerusCase currently supports four different Family Law case types:
- Family Law - General
- Family Law - Custody
- Family Law - Divorce
- Family Law - Spousal Support
Features for these case types include a unique tab for each case type, those being Family Law (General), Custody, Divorce, and Spousal Support, respectively. These provide information specific to the particular case type, such as custody details in the Custody tab.

Immigration
MerusCase currently supports two different Immigration case types:
- Immigration
- Immigration With Removal
Features for these case types include unique fields for client info (e.g. alien registration number, country of birth) as well as a dedicated Immigration tab in which you can keep track of said client info as well as create, organize, and manage immigration-specific filing packets (e.g. U Visa).

Personal Injury
MerusCase currently supports five different Personal Injury case types:
- Personal Injury - General
- Personal Injury - Medical Malpractice
- Personal Injury - Motor Vehicle Accident
- Personal Injury - Premise Liability (Slip and Fall)
- Personal Injury - Product Liability
Features for these case types include an Incident tab where you can keep track of incident conditions, police report details, the location, and other useful info, as well as automate warnings about the statute of limitations for a DOI. In a Motor Vehicle Accident case, you can also place witnesses and vehicles on the map for your reference.

Workers’ Compensation
Features for the Workers’ Compensation case type include an Injury tab where you can enter injury information, important filing dates, earnings, and vocational rehabilitation information. This injury information can then be automatically filled in when merging forms and templates. In addition, you can pull case info from the California DWC with an ADJ number, easily file WC-specific packets via JET Filing and E-Filing, and automate warnings about the statute of limitations for a DOI.
